Overview

The Toyota 4Runner is known as one of the most iconic traditional; SUVs on the market. For the 2021 model year, the 4Runner receives new standard LED headlights. There is also a new Lunar Rock exterior color and the TRD trim receives new black wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler tires. The 4Runner comes standard with a 4.0-liter V-6 engine that offers up to 270 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission.

Technology

While the Toyota 4Runner is known for its off-road capability, this SUV also provides an excellent level of technology. Standard on the 4Runner is an 8-inch infotainment screen. Also, standard on the 4Runner is Apple CarPlay, Android Auto along with Amazon Alexa and four total USB ports. Optional equipment includes a 15-speaker JBL Audio system, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a wireless phone charger.

Design

The 2021 Toyota 4Runner is available in eight trim levels. You can get the 4Runner in the SR5 trim, the Trail Special Edition trim, the SR5 Premium trim, the TRD Off-Road Premium trim, the Venture Special Edition trim, the Limited trim, the Nightshade Special Edition trim, and the TRD Pro trim. The TRD trims are favored for those who intend to use the 4Runner for heavy off-road driving purposes.
