Overview

The Toyota CH-R is a subcompact crossover that offers lots of value for its price. For the 2021 model year, the CH-R receives a new suite of driver assist features including automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, automatic high-beam headlamps, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane-trace assist. Also, a new Nightshade Edition Appearance Package is now available. The CH-R comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides up to 144 horsepower. This engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The CH-R provides up to 31 miles per gallon of fuel economy on the highway.

Technology

The CH-R comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment screen along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Available tech features include Auto Folding Outside Mirrors and a Smart Key System with Push-Button Start.

Design

For the 2021 model year, the CH-R is available in four trim levels. There is the base LE trim. The XLE trim adds a number of upgrades including 18-inch wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Above the XLE trim is the Nightshade trim level which adds a number of appearance upgrades. Finally, there is the top Limited trim brings exclusive features such as LED projector headlights with auto leveling.
